Ponk – The art of finding and identifying species, associated mostly with inverts but will cover all groups of taxa.”Off to the woods for a ponk” or “Going out ponking”from the original term – Piddly Ponk. Its just one of those words that was blurted out and stuck.

Odd words and joking aside, recording is at the core what ever the species, common or rare. In my eyes, the more records the better what ever it is. Trying to see as many species as possible in the groups that interest me is a natural part of it.

There can only be two ponkers, the master and the apprentice.
